All three awards were based on various metrics and the Wound Care Center met certain thresholds to receive the awards. The Center was recognized as a Center of Distinction for achieving outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92 percent. Being recognized with the Clinical Excellence and President’s Circle Awards required the Center to score in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics centers, and achieve clinical and operational excellence through various metrics.

The Wound Care Center at Northern Nevada Medical Center offers advanced treatments for patients with chronic wounds, including two hyperbaric chambers for oxygen therapy to treat slow- and non-healing wounds. A variety of wound care issues are treated, including venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, trauma wounds and more.
