Commitment to Health Equity
Northern Nevada Medical Center is committed to providing superior quality healthcare for patients. We are compassionate and responsive to the needs of those in our care. Through our continuous focus on quality, we are working to change lives and transform the delivery of healthcare.
It is imperative that all individuals in our served communities have access to the care they need, regardless of age, race, gender or socioeconomic status.
What is Health Equity?
Health equity is defined by the attainment of the highest level of health for all people, where everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their optimal health regardless of race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, geography, preferred language and other factors that affect access to care and health outcomes.
Our Commitment to Health Equity
It is the mission and vision of Northern Nevada Medical Center to embrace the principles of health equity.
Health Equity Initiatives
Throughout the year, Northern Nevada Medical Center partners with community organizations to help ensure healthcare equity — identifying the unique needs of our respective communities and developing programs, services and events that meet and address these needs.
In addition, we regularly evaluate the health equity needs of the communities we serve to identify opportunities for continued improvement. Northern Nevada Medical Center provides resources and education to decrease health equity disparities and provide the highest level of quality, compassionate healthcare to our patients.
