Northern Nevada Medical Center Recognized as Large Business of the Year

Northern Nevada Medical Center received the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce’s 2017 Large Business of the Year Award. NNMC was honored with the award at the Chamber’s annual recognition awards luncheon.
NNMC was recognized for its outstanding patient care and service excellence outcomes in 2016, including many awards and distinctions for quality care:
- NNMC was designated a Top Performer in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care and immunizations by The Joint Commission, a national accreditation body that evaluates and certifies healthcare organizations in the U.S.
- NNMC was re-certified by The Joint Commission for excellence in Orthopedics: Knee Replacement, Orthopedics: Hip Replacement, Spine Surgery, Back Pain, and as a Primary Stroke Center. NNMC is the first local hospital to be certified in spine surgery, and the first program in the nation to be certified in back pain.
- NNMC received the Top Performance in Patient Safety Award as well as the Most Improved Patient Experience Rate Recognition by Universal Health Services.
