Department of Anesthesiology
The Department of Anesthesiology at Northern Nevada Medical Center is well recognized for its expertise. Physicians are either board-certified or board-eligible and have completed extensive training in their specialty and subspecialty areas. The team provides a wide range of anesthesia services from basic inpatient and outpatient services, to the subspecialties of cardiac, ambulatory and neurosurgical anesthesia, in addition to acute and chronic pain management.
Ambulatory Anesthesia
The anesthesiology team at Northern Nevada Medical Center combines advanced anesthesia techniques with convenience, professionalism and compassion to help patients to return to their usual activities in as short a time as possible. Today, the majority of surgical procedures at the hospital are performed on an ambulatory, or outpatient, basis.
Pain Management
The pain management team at Northern Nevada Medical Center performs consultation for acute and chronic pain disorders. The pain management team's services include epidural, patient-controlled analgesia for postoperative pain, medication management, therapeutic/diagnostic blocks and implanted devices. The Pain Management Center at Northern Nevada Medical Center offers a multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute or chronic pain. Physicians are dedicated to caring for patients ages 18 and older who have spine or back pain, as well as pain in other areas of the body.
